Located on the southernmost tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is just 25 minutes by air or 90 minutes by ferry from Vancouver, and less than 3 hours by ferry from Seattle. Located in one of Canada’s most beautiful National Historic Sites, Royal Roads University has a long history of excellence. In 2015, the University celebrated 75 years of leadership and learning - 55 years as a military college and 20 years as a public applied research university. The full-time student population at RRU is 1,900+ of which there are 300+ international students from over 50 countries.

RRU offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Business Administration, Tourism Management, Hospitality, and Environmental Science. Distance learning is a component of Royal Roads University's learning and teaching model that features group-based course work – both on-campus and online. The University has also created a flexible admission policy that is designed to look beyond an applicant’s formal education and qualifications. Most programs at Royal Roads University are delivered through blended learning - a combination of online learning and short, on-campus residencies.
